FashionTALK by He...For Love & Lemons

What is better then one hot designer? How about two hot designers? Come meet, Laura and Gillian, the ladies behind For Love & Lemons. FbyHe has written about this amazing brand before, when He told the ArmHe that For Love & Lemons was the leader in the #HotChickSideBoobSheerHeLovesItChic, but it wasn't until now that He got the ladies to sit down and talk to He. Even looks like He got a date out of all this too...everyone wins! Check out the full interview...and Click Read More...tons of more questions and pictures of the Fall 2011 Collection...
-He

He: Describe For Love & Lemons in one word?
L-G: Awesome!

He: What made you decide to start your own clothing line?
L-G: We kind of fell into it. We had a fashion show at our local ski bar(where we hand sewn all our samples out of batik fabrics we brought back from Bali). Photos of the show had leaked online and a couple stores contacted us about carrying some pieces, as well as a ton of girls in our home town were buying out everything! it wasn't till then that we really decided to take it more seriously!

He: Who is the For Love & Lemons girl?
L-G: She is a cool, casually sexy girl. She doesn't try too hard, she knows who she is and what she wants, she likes standing out from the crowd, but not in an overdone way. She is fun, quirky, smart, artsy, passionate, a little bit wild, a little discreet, intelligent, and people look up to her. If Brigitte Bardot and James Dean had a love child, that would be our girl, figuratively speaking.

He: He wants to officially thank you for making girls look hotter with your clothing, where do you get the inspiration?
L&G: I just think about what girls really want, how they want to be perceived, what will make them feel sexy, and comfortable, and not overdone. I always keep that in mind, then I collect fabric swatches and trims that I want to work with, I lock myself out from the world, turn my music up really loud and just sketch and sketch and sketch until something hits home! For me, I get more inspiration from a feeling, as opposed to images.

He: What are some upcoming trends the readers should be aware of?
L-G: I really don't follow trends, which is probably bad that I am out of the loop from that, but I do see a major outbreak of polka dots happening soon, which scares me, so do it in the right way people!

He: What will be the big thing for For Love & Lemons Fall? Winter? Spring?
L&G: Fall- black and white maxi dresses and skirts(wear with over sized jackets and casual boots), Holiday- venetian lace mini dresses, Spring- Prints, slouchy, sheer silhouettes, and delicate trimming.

He: Your Fall 2011 just launched and its insanely sexy, not even sure that does it justice, if you had to pick one piece from the collection as your favorite which would it be?
L-G: Laura's pick- the "After Dark Dress" it has got to be one of the most flattering, sexiest dresses I have seen on, it's an attention getter! Gillian's choice- The "Zenith Maxi Dress", I love that it has full coverage with the exception of the back plunging neckline. It has such a beautiful shape, I just want to lounge in it all day looking beautiful, cause that is how you feel when you put it on!

He: One piece of clothing you cannot live without?
L-G: Shlepping boots!

He: What is the biggest mistake people make in fashion?
L-G: Following trends

He: In your opinion, whats the biggest "fashion faux pas?"
L-G: I don't want to get myself in trouble with that answer.

He: Whats the best advice you can give the readers about style and fashion?
L-G: Do your own thing, and make sure you always feel beautiful, then you know you are doing it right!

He: Are granny panties ever acceptable?
L-G: Not if they are saggy, but I am ok with a full coverage panty if it's worn with something sheer and cut right! "Panty" is such a creepy word!

He: He believes heels are a must, what are you thoughts?
L-G: It all depends on how the heel is being worn, it can be really good, or realllllly bad. Just make sure you know how to walk in them before you go out in them. An uncomfortable wobbler is not a good look.

He: If you could have your clothes appear on the floor of one celebrity sex tape, who's would it be?
L-G: Mila Kunis, who wouldn't want to watch that!

He: What does the future hold for For Love &Lemons?
L-G: Lots and lots more beautiful clothes, and even better photoshoots, and more variety. But we will stay true to our selves and our customer and continue to keep it real.

He: Are you two single? Dinner? Drinks? Hows Wednesday work?
L-G: Laura is single, and Wednesday works!

He: Any famous last words?
L-G: Ce'st la vie!

FashionTalk by He...Hipstercrite Takes over FbyHe

Fashion by He is taking the night off, so He brought in Texas blogger Hipstercrite to take over the afternoon post. Enjoy, and let us know what you think, and if there is anyone else you would like to see take over Fashion by He for the Day.

My name is Hipstercrite. I'm a blogger in Austin, Texas. This means I wear ironic articles of clothing such as the "Darth Maul Bathing Suit"- or rather the Nylon Tricot Hooded Swimsuit from American Apparel.

During the summer months of the year, you can't really wear real clothing in Austin. In fact, it's completely legal to walk around topless in Austin, but most people don't exercise that right because of the embarrassing amounts of boob sweat that women accumulate here.

My typical garb of high-waisted pants, ties, and mustaches is not possible during this time of year. Constricted clothing and prosthetic hair adhesive does not bode well with an unrelenting sun and 105 degree temperatures. Because of this, I've had to made bathing suits part of my daily wear. Bathing suits are not always that stylish. Well, at least mine never were. I typically wore breast-flattening and hip-reducing one-pieces that made me look like a 13 year-old boy. So one day I got wise and bought a bathing suit with a hood- because who the hell ever heard of such a thing? Believe me, my caped beachwear is a conversation starter. People stare and point and stand at least fifteen feet away from me out of fear I'm hiding a lightsaber somewhere in that nylon.
-Hipstercrite

Note from He - Just as an FYI: the hoodie swimsuit has been on Hashion by He before.

FashionTalk by He...Donna Mizani

He caught up with fashion designers Donna Mizani wanted to check in on Fall 2011 and introduce the brand to the ArmHe in a little more detail. In case you don't know Donna Mizani is worn by pretty much all the top celebrities. Of course like all brands, He's favorites end up being the ones run by HottHe's, go figure.

The label, which is known for putting the cut out dress on the map, offers women the opportunity to define their own style by creating an identity through alluring, wearable garments.

Typically He isn't a fan of the cut out dress, but as He has said before, its who wears it and how they wear it that really can make or break the outfit. If you are gonna wear it, might as well wear Donna Mizani after all they did make the freakin thing famous. Click Read More down below to see full interview and pictures of their smoking hot Fall 2011 Collection. You will pretty much turn heads like crazy in any of the outfits.
-He

He: Describe Donna Mizani in one word?
Alluring

He: What made you decide to start your own clothing line?

It started when I was a little girl, I was always sketching, and playing dress up.  My mom said "Donna, one day you'll a fashion designer!", and it just progressed from there.  I worked for a few other companies and eventually it was time to design contemporary clothing under my own label.

He: Who is the Donna Mizani girl?
Tough question because the Donna Mizani girl could be anyone.  She is your sister, your best friend, a coworker.  She's sexy, she's fun, she's ambitious, mysterious, and most of all she's a risk taker.

He: What are some upcoming trends the readers should be aware of?
The Donna Mizani 2011 Fall and Holiday collections feature a lot of upcoming trends.  I'd say the the biggest trend that I'd take advantage of is LEATHER skirts and tops because they'll last you a lifetime but also high/low hems and pleated pieces.

READ THE FULL INTERVIEW BY CLICKING READ MORE...

He: What will be the big thing for Donna Mizani Fall? Winter? Spring?
Cut outs, always cut outs.

He: One piece of clothing you cannot live without?
Hmm, if heels.  Any pair of high heels.  I love Jeffrey Campbell.  Otherwise I love the fur vests from Donna Mizani Holiday 2011, I anticipate wearing mine all the time, fur is easy to mix and match.  Although I design clothing, I'm big on accessories too!

He: What is the biggest mistake people make in fashion?
Following too many trends.

He: In your opinion, whats the biggest "fashion faux pas?"
Playing it safe.  As long as you're taking risks, you're good.

He: Whats the best advice you can give the readers about style and fashion?
Do what feels right for you.  Don't follow a trend if it's not "you", but also take risks and don't be afraid to make mistakes, experiment, etc.

He: Are granny panties ever acceptable?
Everyone has their "days", so if you're having a "day" then sure. Granny panties are better than no panties!

He: He believes heels are a must, what are you thoughts?
Love heels, but there are definitely some girls who can pull off flats regularly.  If you're one of those girls then more power to you!

He: Even though your clothing is worn by tons of celebrities already, if you could have your clothes appear on the floor of one celebrity sex tape, who's would it be?
I love this question!  Depends if it's a pre-existing sex tape.  Of the sex tapes that are already floating around, I'd obviously say the "One Night in Chyna" sex tape.  JUST KIDDING.  But if I could get my clothes on any celebrity - I'd love to see how Lady GaGa would style it.   I feel like everyone answers Lady GaGa so...maybe see how someone unconventional would look?  Can you imagine Betty White in Donna Mizani?!

He: What does the future hold for Donna Mizani?
So much.  We're just getting started.

He: Any famous last words?
She loves he.

FashionTALK by He...Telltale Hearts!

(pics by Leva Schneider)

He is teaming up with TellTale Hearts for the next month to bring you discounts like no other. All month long, ending on July 31, the ArmHe gets 10% OFF at checkout with code: WELOVEHE. It was a brillant idea by Telltale to take past HottHes of the Week and turn them into models for their site. Anyone remember Marie and Sarah Whitney? Both HottHe's and now both Telltale models.

To learn more about Telltale Hearts, He decided a FashionTALK by He with the two founders Melissa and Brandy was all but necessary:

Introduce the ArmHe to Telltale Hearts:
Brandy & Melissa: The whole reason we started this thing was to create an online shopping experience for vintage that is as functional as any major retailer, and to showcase our vintage on well styled models in an edgy setting. So many vintage sites just slap a dress on a girl and cut the head off or just put it on a dress form. And then they only take pay pal and don't accept returns, etc. I'm a big contemporary online shopper, and i wanted to build in all the functionality into our website that i expect from sites like shopbop or revolve. As we started looking for models to shoot we kept going to back to our favorite bloggers and thinking "wouldn't she be rad in our pieces?" and envisioning how we would style them. When we shoot bloggers we take into consideration their personal style and pick some pieces that fit in well with their current look. We also like to try looks on them that they might never wear themselves. We interact with the fashion blogger community, and we're always on the lookout for our next model! Our vintage is sexy, never frumpy, well styled, and not focused on lame trends like 90210 style floral dresses and big round hats. We collect timeless pieces that you will always keep in your closet and can wear again and again over the years.

He: Describe Telltale Hearts in one word?
Melissa: Vintage
Brandy: Extraordinary

He: What made you decide to open your own store?
Melissa: We wanted to take the "hunt" out of finding amazing vintage pieces. Having such a huge love for collecting vintage, we wanted to share that passion with our customers.
Brandy: We also wanted to create an online shopping experience that would keep someone like ourselves coming back again and again – dark, cool, eclectic. The kind of place where you go for one thing but come away with something completely unexpected. And you love it every time!

He: Who is the Telltale Hearts girl?
Melissa: Any fashionable lady who is tired of or has no time to hunt for special, one of a kind vintage pieces. Also someone who likes to mix and match vintage with modern trends.
Brandy: The Telltale Hearts girl appreciates the value of being able to choose from a lovingly curated collection of vintage pieces. She could do the work herself, and probably has in the past, but now she knows she can go to one special place and always find a treasure – no digging, no let down. She’s also got a deep love for luxe fabrics and really special accessories.

How is Telltale Hearts different then other sites out there?
Melissa: Telltale Hearts keeps things simple and puts the focus on the featured designers and all the amazing vintage.
Brandy: At Telltale Hearts we work to cultivate a definitive style that's not so much concerned with with supplying trends as it is with sourcing sexy, fun, timeless pieces that will mix well with any modern wardrobe.

He: What are some upcoming trends shoppers should be aware of?
Melissa: Upcoming Trends, for us we are always up for lace or sequins. But also look out for animal prints, tons of color, and statement jewelry!
Brandy: We’re looking to innovative lines like Seneca Rising and Something Else for unique silhouettes with cool details like geometric cut-outs and bold patterns.

He: One piece of clothing you cannot live without?
Melissa: Black anything, flowy tops and shawls.
Brandy: My black leather jacket!

He: What is the biggest mistake people make in fashion?
Brandy: The biggest mistake that people make is being afraid to try
new things. Confidence is essential to having great style.

What is the hottest selling item for summer?
Melissa: Bright colored dresses, lace and crop tops.
Brandy: Cut off denim with anything! Kimono-style tops and anything that shows a little skin. We love open backs and thigh-skimming skirts!

What should we gear up for this Fall?
Melissa: Brights will still be important. But also look for leather, ponchos, mens wear, stripes and tons of coats!
Brandy: For Fall we love chunky knits and romantic blouses. And sequins, of course!

Discount Code: WELOVEHE for 10% OFF at checkout! Active until 7/15.

FashionTALK by He...P.Luca

It has been a long long time since He has done a post FashionTALK by He, but hey it's back.
We grew up known as BARAMIs daughters, his admirers, his followers, and the product of his doing. He is the power force that created the amazing line BARAMI. Now a decade later he has fresh blood as he likes to call it; all grown up ready to use what he taught us. P.Luca, the new generation for BARAMI. “Dress like you mean Business” is the motto over at P.Luca, and with some good looking sisters behind the brand, it seems like these girls got what it takes.

He: Describe P.Luca in one word?
P.Luca in ONE WORD: Fashionable (Affordable Fashion)

He: What made you decide to start your own clothing line?
Our Father is a designer, was labeled by Vogue in the 90’s as the “King of Suits” we grew up dressing ourselves and wanted a collection for the younger woman who still wanted to look sexy but classy, and NOT OVER TRENDY

He: Who is the P.Luca girl?
The P.Luca girl is ANYONE, she is the 18-35 year old (she doesn’t care about the number, she is as old and young as she FEELS). She is conscious about her health fitness and is aware that her style is a big part of who she is.

He: What are some upcoming trends the readers should be aware of?
Upcoming Trends, all about LAYERS, we just piece together different fabrics and patterns and prints and they actually look amazing together!

He: One piece of clothing you cannot live without?
Neda: Well 2, a pair of heels and my cord stretch black jeans, I live in them
Nika: à Her Black Jeggings (P.Luca Jeggings, they aren’t gross and look like actual jeans just more comfortable)

Click Read More to read the rest of the interview with the P.Luca Ladies.

He: What is the biggest mistake people make in fashion?
Biggest Mistake you can make is trying to be something you are not, trends do not work for everyone and everyone always SAYS IT but doesn’t follow. You have to make trends your own, if you aren’t comfortable everyone sees and feels in then you look as bad as you feel. FACT

He: In your opinion, whats the biggest "fashion faux pas?"
Fashion Faux Pas: Overdoing ANYTHING

He: Whats the best advice you can give the readers about style and fashion?
Best advice, take care of your clothing, when you invest in clothes even trendy pieces you bought it for a reason. Know how to hang your garments (hangers matter, with sweaters certain hangers can stretch them) washing your clothing all these things really DO MATTER

He: Are granny panties ever acceptable?
Granny Panties, the name alone is disturbing, boy shorts are where the P.Luca Ladies stand. Comfort and Class, thongs can become a bit MUCH with detail so if you are wearing something SUPER TIGHT, you might as well have the guts to go commando, right? Or is that dirty? We think its OK!

He: He believes heels are a must, what are you thoughts?
Nika is 5’10 she wears heels out, Neda is the older sister, but 5’3 I live in my heels, sadly my credit card and I have had a few issues because when I shop its usually shoes and now I don’t have room in my closet. And they have to be HIGH heels, short heels make your calves look fatter. Not a good look, just saying.

He: If you could have your clothes appear on the floor of one celebrity sex tape, who's would it be?
Alexa Chung, or Olivia Palero (the girl from the City)à they are amazing dressers, effortless. Plus Olivia was in our showroom a few months ago and looked AMAZING in everything she tried.

He: How do you select your models?
Its never about how they look, its always for US at least, how the clothes look. We believe honestly that if you need to have a pretty face to sell your clothing, maybe you should make prettier clothing. The focus is the clothing on YOU, not the models; if that is understandable.

He: What does the future hold for P.Luca?
The future holds endless possibilities, we are lucky enough that we have amazing friends in the industry that help us get the name out there. We do things very differently than most fashion houses, we really BUILD relationships with all parties that correlate with P.Luca, so you will SEE!!

He: Where can we buy the P.Luca collection?
Currently you can ONLY buy P.Luca at BARAMI locations, (www.barami.com) for all the locations and online at http://pluca4barami.com/

He: Any famous last words?
Are you a P.Luca Lady?... ahaha we always tell our people, all we want to do is have fun and play dress up, lets GO!

FashionTalk by He...Kolae

Remember that amazing brand Kolae He introduced you to a while back? Well the new collection was just released for Fall 2011 and He caught up with head designer Cameron to discuss the brand, the collection and life.

He: Describe Kolae in one word?
Edgy

He: What made you decide to start your own clothing line?
As a designer it is something that I think all of us dream about. Working for yourself and having the creative freedom to design and bring to life what is 100% your vision instead of somebody else's is the best feeling in the world. But to be honest, it was all about the right timing and meeting the perfect partner. Everything kind of just fell into place.

He: Who is the Kolae girl?
The Kolae girl is an independent, fashion forward, risk taker. She is cosmopolitan, edgy and sexy, but above all she is confident.

He: What are some upcoming trends the readers should be aware of?
Definitely look out for wide legged pants (in my opinion the wider the better).

Maxi dresses are going to be bigger than ever. The thing I love about Maxi's is that it is so easy to dress up or down or wear day and night... and you will always get noticed and be remembered more in a maxi dress then almost any other piece of clothing.

I'm also obsessed now with any sort of cut-outs in clothing. Cut-out backs, sides, shoulders.... you name it. A small cut-out on a garment can make any piece go from boring to interesting and that extra little exposure of skin can be so sexy. For this Fall 2011 Collection I really embraced playing with the placements of the cut-outs. However, there is such thing as too much cut-out...** Do NOT think Julia Roberts in the 1st scene in Pretty women.

He: One piece of clothing you cannot live without?
The Estelle Maxi Dress. I know it may sound conceded, but it's true. It was our best seller from our Spring 2011 Collection and continues to be our best seller for Summer and Fall. It is just so easy and literally looks amazing on EVERYONE!! Everybody who has bought one comes back and buys every other color. I literally live in mine. We even did a short version (Estelle Mini Dress) for this collection due to the high demand, so that may be my next piece I can't live without.

He: Who and what inspires you? Favorite designers?
I am consistently inspired by so many different things it's hard to just name a few. My travels, music, New York City are always keeping my ideas flowing. To be completely honest, I used to be obsessed with keeping up with all the new designers, trends, blogs, etc. However, I am so busy now that I am about 2 months behind in all my fashion magazines and the last time I went shopping was.... I don't even remember. Terrible I know.

He: What is the biggest mistake people make in fashion?
Trying to combine too many trends into one outfit.

He: In your opinion, whats the biggest "fashion faux pas?"
Leaving your home in sweats. You don't need to dress up every time you leave the house, but is it really too hard to replace your sweats with leggings or jeans? It just shows pure laziness. You never know who you might meet, even if you're just going to the grocery store or getting on a plane.

He: Whats the best advice you can give the readers about style and fashion?
Just be yourself. It isn't so important to follow trends. In fact, most of the time I am inspired by those who don't. They are just more interesting. You have to be comfortable in what you are wearing otherwise no matter what it is it isn't going to look good. If you are confident and feel good you will look good.

He: Are granny panties ever acceptable?
NEVER... EVER. Haven't owned a pair since 6th grade probably. Boy shorts are okay every once in a while though.

He: He believes heels are a must, what are you thoughts?
6" or higher for me. But on the occasions you have to wear flats... Please make sure they are FLAT I can't stand the kitten heel thing (I know it is supposedly back in style, but I will never understand it).

He: If you could have your clothes appear on the floor of one celebrity sex tape, who's would it be?
Well it would have to be a sex tape that I would want to watch. I would have to say Katy Perry. Probably more because of Russell Brand than her, but I think Katy has all the qualities that the Kolae girl should have. She is definitely comfortable in her own skin. She isn't afraid to be a little different and edgy. Her confidence makes her sexy and that would probably make for a pretty entertaining sex tape if you ask me.
He: How do you select your models?
We have done model castings with girls from all the big agencies. The most important thing is the model's attitude and confidence. We have been working with the same Model, Veronika (Ford Models), for 3 seasons now and she just has this way about her that is exactly how we invision the Kolae girl. We will probably continue to with her until she is sick of us.

He: What does the future hold for Kolae?
We will just have to wait and see, but you will definitely be seeing more of us!

He: Where can we buy the Kolae collection?
When we launched in Fall 2010 we attracted a very international crowd. We can be found in stores in London, Dubai, Beirut, Puerto Rico, Bahamas, Tel Aviv, as well as stores across the country. Online right now you can buy our Spring 2011 Collection on Revolveclothing.com (they will be adding many more pieces in the next couple weeks, so also look out for that), Tags.com, ivyblue.com, and styleetoile.com For the closest store near you feel free to email us at info@kolae.com.

He: Any famous last words?
This is only the beginning!

FashionTalk by He...TuckWear

tuck wear fashion by he
He is always out searching for the next big designer, brand and styles you should know about. As King of Fashion, nothing gets done without He's Approval. While many of you might just be learning about TuckWear, well He is one step ahead of you. Not only did He find Missy the HottHe of the Week, but guess who also happens to be the Tuckwear model? That's right a FbyHe's HottHe. Definitely some cool stuff in the collection, that everyone should check out. Here is the FashionTalk by He interview with Amy of Tuckwear.

He: What is TuckWear?

Tuckwear is a stylish shape wear alternative that provides a sleek and sexy silhouette at an affordable price. The pieces are versatile, and can be worn alone or as a shaping undergarment.

He: What made you decide to start your own line?
In college I could never find the perfect black tube top or mini skirt -- let alone one with a reasonable price tag. I was always spending the most money on accessories, so I wanted basics that were fairly priced.

He: TuckWear outter-wear or underwear?
All of the products are intended to "tuck you in" using double layered spandex, and are meant to look flattering worn both on their own, and underneath your outfit.

He: What are some styling tips when wearing TuckWear?
Since the design of the clothing is so versatile, you can mix and match with your personal favorites or just wear them on their own. To me, nothing is sexier than a simple black tube tuck with a pair of high-waisted jeans and heels, or the tube dress paired with black tights and a sheer blouse on top.

He: What is the biggest mistake people make in fashion?
Some styles don’t suit every body. Stick to what looks best on you, and when in doubt – go with basics and spice them up with accessories.

He: In your opinion, whats the biggest "fashion faux pas?"
Harem pants

He: If you could have your clothes appear on the floor of one celebrity sex tape, who's would it be?
Megan Fox for sure!

He: Are granny panties ever okay?
Yes. On women over the age of 87.

He: What does the future hold for TuckWear?
We are going to continue to produce high quality basic essentials for women at affordable prices.

He: Where can we buy TuckWear?
www.Tuckwear.com and at select boutiques in NY and Florida.

Got suggestions for questions He should ask the next designer? Want to see your brand featured? Email fashionbyhe at gmail.com for details.

FashionHelp by He...Finger Nails

Hello He !
I read your post about women's hair, that guys do care about hairstyles. And what you can say about hands? Does bad mani or, overall, ugly and sloppy hands make a difference?
I'm getting curious over things, that not every women care about and every men do !
Love from overseas,
Pam

Quote from August 2009 Post on FbyHe: "Honestly, He can give two sh*ts about the colors you paint your nails. As long as they aren't gross and disguisting paint them whatever the hell color you want. He just thought he would point out that pink has become popular this summer."

Not much has changed. While He still doesn't care a whole lot about the colors of your nails, and He can confidently say no other guy cares either, they must be well manicured and taken care of. Men are animals, women are suppose to be put together. Not guy wants to go near a chick with gross ugly nails/hands/feet, probably just as much as you don't want to go near a guy with nasty hands either. So stop in, get your nails did, and make everyone happier, ya might feel better too.

Fashion by He...Meet The Little Black List

Ever since He started Fashion by He, He has always wanted to find a She to partner with, that He could team up with and bring the world two partner blogs. Never before has the FashionWorld seen something of this magnitude occur, nor will it probably ever happen again. It took a lot of searching to find the right person to team up with, but He knows for sure that The Little Black List is going to be a perfect match, Tess is without question He Approved. He hopes the ArmHe is exicted about this new partnership as He is. Here is a quick intro from Tess, check out her blog, follow her, you will have easy access to her blog, by clicking the link at the top of the page.

Tess - The Little Black List
I should start by telling a little bit about myself. I'm a 25 year old San Franciscan Native residing in New York city. A true Scorpio by nature (yes I believe in all that astrology jazz) I am passionate, smart, a bit sneaky but mostly loyal and a believer in true love. I have a sharp wit and even quicker tongue. I like to wear vintage clothing from thrift stores, not vintage stores (and typically don't wash before wearing). I've spent the last sh*t ...6 years travelling, moving, shopping and falling in and out of love. Lived in Paris, Arachon, Morocco, San Francisco, New York, back to San Francisco and ending things in NEW YORK CITY. Through all my travels, boyfriends, learning experiences , growth and heartache one thing has sustained time and that is my enthusiasm and interest in fashion. I've realized this when I use outfits, shoes, accessories in reference to pin point a very specific time in my life. My fashion is most definitely a reflection of my current surroundings with the essence of my mother (a beautiful hippie from the Haight Ashbury living in the Napa Valley driving a Jaguar... Diamonds and turquoise is quite the combination). I live and breathe in every moment that I can wear something outragous and through this blog I will document it. Hope you enjoy.

FashionTALK by He...TaraLyn

(pics of top left to right: Bebe, Liz, Malika, Zoe, Carolina, Raye)

Happy Friday to All, Welcome to the next addition of FashionTALK by He, more like with He, but who cares. He asked HottHe, TaraLyn to step in for He today and pump out an awesome article about sexiness, thigh highs, and pretty much everything else He likes. As always, it takes a lot to get a featured on article posted on FbyHe, so you can already assume this is a He Pre-Approved Post (Would love to hear your thoughts, so leave a comment):

It’s the turn of the season , bikinis and flimsy dresses are being put to rest, sexy strapy slightly sultry high heeled sandals are being passed over for boots and socks. Heavy sweaters and leggings rule the street. We forgo the gym for hot cocoa (or better yet organic non-fat soy sugar free half-caf carob lattes) in a too trendy coffee house or a full bodied glass of cabernet at a cosy bistro with friends.

How is it that an urban cosmopolitan girl to stay motivated when this season is forgiving of winter weight and flaw-covering without passing over style; never mind the need to be warm?

Here’s a little hint. Toss out those old bras, laundry day panties and frumpy cotton camis, its time to enhance your lingerie wardrobe. Seriously ladies, how many times have you been told not to judge a book by its cover? This season, it’s all about what is underneath, so invest in that La Perla lace corset or that Wolford one piece that cinches you in all the right places and pushes you up more than Dr. Whoever from Nip/Tuck would if he had the chance; but they don’t have to be all designer, H&M and other smaller stores carry great pieces that are much less than Dior and Prada panties so don’t skimp on the unpractical pieces – just find them for less. It’s time to go out in search of an array of sultry singles and intricate bras and panties. Go forth and search for ones that make you feel happy and simply pretty; the same way you would with outer garments. The result: your skin feeling the luxury and of sensual materials that hug and caress you. Without trying you’ll have that “I’ve got a secret” look that every hot blooded man in the room can’t steal their gaze away from and every woman is hoping she is giving off.

Skirts and dresses are also for winter. Let’s look at some fun hints to keep them wearable through the colder months. Pair your favourite pieces with boots or even better a great pair of pumps and thigh high stockings – no one else will know what you have hidden underneath – garters are not just for seduction scenes in bad porn films or late night skinaMAX. Don’t want to appear older than your age in boring stockings? Patterns and fishnets are so this second. But girls, remember, with fishnets its all about the small tight criss-crosses not the ones that look like they could double as netting to trap lobsters or that you could be channelling a early 1990s low end call girl. Not ready to delve fully into patterns and fishnets, a simple dark seam up the back of any stocking – or thigh high – will elongate the legs without leaving you feeling like you hosiery has too much going on.

Even better about this season you’ve covered and leggings allow you to go with the “less is more” concept and forgo undergarments all together – if your not completely comfortable with this concept Commando has inserts that stick to your jeans in lieu of actually wearing underwear, as if their basic thong wasn’t invisible enough. I wouldn’t recommend trying this under any cashmere silk twin set or thin sweater – the right now look is sexy smart, not smutty country club mistress.

Pulling off any look is all about attitude. So, make sure all your layers make you feel as sexy, confident and seductive or as sweet and flirty and romantic as you do in candle light…
