Where I've Been Hiding...

You may have been wondering where I have been recently, my sister is over so we have spent a lot of time at the beach. Here are a few pics, in case you want to join us...

I do love some beach time and am very naughty not to go more often, although it has been very overcast for the last few days and today it is raining. I am loving this cooler break but those on their holidays, not so much, so don't tell on me...

We did try to stick it out in that good old British spirit, I just wish I had brought a jumper. Hehe, memories of childhood holidays in England just came flooding back.

a front porch in summertime

my husband and i moved into our new house in november and now that warm weather is here, our favorite thing to do is sit in the rocking chairs on our wrap-around front porch. front porches have always been important in the South, as they provide a place to catch some shade and breeze during the summertime. before air conditioning, the porch was often cooler than the house!

now, if we could only figure out how to keep the bugs away.
