Debunking The “No White To Be Worn After Labor Day” Rule:
Labor Day might mark the end of the summer, but the truth of the matter is that there’s technically a few weeks left of warm weather (despite the rain predicted to last all week). No need to scramble to get the last wear of your white jeans in. In fact, as far as I’m concerned, you can wear white year-round when done right.
Whites To Store Away After Summer Ends: chinos, linens, crocheted bags, cotton sweaters, sandals
Whites To Wear After Summer Ends: leather bags, cords, wool or cashmere sweaters, suede or patent pumps
I particularly love wearing my white Les Halles and J Brand Jeans year round. The best way to do this is to pair your jeans with dark hues. Think chocolate riding boots and that yummy butterscotch cashmere sweater. Fall colors look great when worn with crisp white pants. I’m also partial to an all white ensemble (remember, Winter fabrics), paired with a dark heel or boot.
Go for it, wear your whites all year round!
